Ben Harper e Charlie Musselwhite anunciam novo álbum, No Mercy In This Land



                Em 2013, Ben Harper se uniu com Charlie Musselwhite para gravarem um álbum juntos, o ótimo Get Up! (vencedor do Grammy para o Melhor Álbum de Blues, em 2013) A mistura de estilo de ambos contribuiu bastante para a qualidade do disco. Com o passar do tempo, o trabalho parecia ter sido uma benfazeja aventura musical na discografia de Ben Harper e Charlie Musselwhite. No entanto, se tem dois artistas que adoram trabalhos colaborativos são esses dois. A volta da parceria era tão somente uma questão de tempo e eis que em 2018 acabou de ser anunciado que Harper e Musselwhite estão lançando um novo disco juntos, chamado de No Mercy In This Land, que será lançado em 30 de março. Junto ao anúncio, a dupla divulgou a canção que dá título ao álbum.

                O disco, segundo comunicado oficial, no qual os artistas trocam elogios um ao outro, inclui as “histórias pessoais tanto de Ben Harper quanto de Charlie Musselwhite, além de acrescentar à sônica história da luta e sobrevivência dos americanos”. Os indicados para o 39º Blues Music Awards





                Foram divulgados os indicados ao 39º Blues Music Awards, maior prêmio do blues, organizado pela Blues Foundation e que representa uma coleção dos artistas que mais se destacaram e representaram a diversidade e o espírito do blues. A cerimônia do 39th Annual Blues Music Awards acontecerá em 10 de Maio de 2018. Grande parte dos indicados consta também nas listas de melhores do ano do Filho do Blues, mas senti falta de alguns, como Eric Bibb, Rev. Sekou, Van Morrison, por exemplo. A novidade é a criação de mais dois prêmios: o artista do ano do Blues Rock e os melhores vocalistas do ano. Segue abaixo a lista completa:
